After getting a 3.2 megapixel camera for Christmas when I was 11 I was ready for BIG TINGS!
Growing up in the film era of photography and watching the evolution of digital cameras and social media explode, I felt there was opportunities for budding photographers and film makers.
Studying Photography at ‘The University of Chester’ was a culmination of good experiences, and realizing what was not for me in the field of Photography.
Fresh out of University I found myself googling ski-photography jobs (yes-in England) with no results (unsurprisingly) - which in itself was a kick in the balls - but at the same time was a definitive point of realization which pushed me to head out to see what I achieve. I said to myself, someone does this job - someone makes a living from photography/videoing shooting skiing and being on the mountain- I want to be that guy.
After moving out to Revelstoke, British Columbia to do Ski Instructor training, I used Ski Instructing as a stepping stone to do Ski Photography & Video which I now do full-time working with Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Revelstoke Tourism.
